Key achievements

Our group philosophy is to work in close interaction with other biomedical research groups and also to obtain own competence in the application areas.
In the pre-CCB period, our applied work were particularly directed towards coronary disease (risk factors, decision support for myocardial infarction), as well as ecological population dynamical processes and their interactions with genetical processes. On the methodological side, we have been focussed on survival analysis, nonparametric/nonlinear statistical modeling, and how to handle many covariates in regression. Recently, after the establishment of CCB, we have developed methods for analysis of copy numbers (including development of the CGHExplorer system) and worked on survival analysis with complex covariate structures.
